About this programme

PadHer is an IKIGAI menstrual health and dignity initiative focused on empowering girls and young women with access to menstrual hygiene products, accurate information, and safe conversations around menstruation. Through education, advocacy, product distribution, and community outreach, PadHer works to reduce menstrual stigma and help ensure that menstruation does not become a barrier to education, confidence, or participation.

What happens

  • Menstrual Product Distribution: Providing sanitary pads to girls and young women in schools and communities.
  • Menstrual Health Education: Conducting sessions on menstrual hygiene, body awareness, and healthy menstrual practices.
  • PadHer Open Mic: Creating a safe and expressive space where young people can share their experiences, stories, poetry, music, and perspectives around menstruation, womanhood, body awareness, and menstrual stigma.
  • Awareness Campaigns: Creating digital and community campaigns to challenge menstrual stigma and promote menstrual dignity.
  • School Outreach: Engaging schools to identify menstrual health needs and provide practical support.
  • Youth Engagement: Empowering young people to participate in conversations, creative expression, and advocacy around menstrual health.
  • Advocacy & Partnerships: Working with organizations, schools, and youth-led groups to advance menstrual dignity and awareness.
